SteelStacks Sessions: On the rooftop with Slingshot Dakota

A pop-punk band on the roof. Sounds crazy, no? But in our little town of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania we’re super proud of Slingshot Dakota. That’s why they were the perfect choice to be the first featured artist in our SteelStacks Sessions performance series.
The married couple was recently named one of Rolling Stone’s 10 New Artists You Need to Know, calling pianist Carly Comando and drummer Tom Patterson “one of the most unique rock bands in the United States.” Slingshot Dakota was also featured on NPR, spoke with Consequence of Sound, and absolutely crushed it at SXSW.
So last year at Musikfest, we asked the duo to perform an acoustic set on the roof at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks. Performing multiple songs on the picturesque day and answering our silly questions, this is a unique music performance you have to see.
