What a debut! This song hit #3 on the Hot 100 and earned Marx his first GRAMMY nomination for “Best Rock Vocal Performance – Solo” against Bruce Springsteen, Tina Turner, Bob Seger and Joe Cocker.
“SHOULD’VE KNOWN BETTER”
Another single, another #3 song from Marx’s debut 1987 album!
“ENDLESS SUMMER NIGHTS”
This song, originally on Marx’s demo tape, got rejected by multiple record companies. Too bad they passed on a future #2 song.
“HOLD ONTO THE NIGHTS”
This track earned Richard Marx his first-ever #1 hit on July 23, 1988.
“SATISFIED”
No sophomore album slump here! The lead single off of Marx’s 1989 album Repeat Offender was another chart-topper!
