Cathy Ritter
Cathy Ritter is a singer-songwriter from Macungie. She was raised by two musicians who infused a deep love of music in her life at a young age. She attended Emmaus High School and later earned a B.A in Theatre from DeSales University. Having finished undergrad in 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic created a seismic shift for her post-college plans and forced her to rethink her path, like it did for so many people. Suddenly all the theatre, art, and music that Cathy's world revolved around was gone. She did not touch her guitar or write music for two years. This artistic hiatus is what ultimately inspired her to find the courage to write again, use her voice, and share her life through music. Cathy has found that your twenties are more about growing "through" than growing "up", and so her original music ultimately revolves around themes of coming of age and coming into your own.
