Join us for a unique, interactive workshop designed to explore the essential role of intimacy professionals in the world of film and live comedy performance. Whether you’re a filmmaker, actor, comedy performer, or appreciator of the arts, this workshop offers valuable insights into ensuring consent, creating safe environments, and navigating intimate moments both on set and stage.

In the first half, we’ll delve into the world of Intimacy Coordination for Film. You’ll learn how intimacy coordinators work with actors, directors, and crew to choreograph intimate scenes safely and respectfully. Discover the key principles of consent, communication, and emotional aftercare, and see firsthand how intimacy coordinators ensure that all actors are protected and comfortable.

In the second half, we’ll shift gears and explore Intimacy Direction for Comedy Improv Performance. Here, you'll gain a fresh perspective on how intimacy is directed within the high-energy, spontaneous world of comedy. Through fun improv exercises, you’ll experience how intimacy can be choreographed in a live performance setting while respecting boundaries, fostering clear communication, and maintaining a playful atmosphere.

Key Takeaways:

  • Learn the role of intimacy coordinators in film, including their impact on safety, consent, and emotional support for actors.
  • Understand how intimacy direction functions within live comedy, with a focus on humor and maintaining boundaries in improv performance.
  • Practice effective communication techniques for navigating intimate moments with consent and respect.
  • Participate in hands-on exercises that foster collaboration, safety, and fun in both film and comedy settings.

This workshop offers an engaging blend of practical advice and hands-on activities, with a special focus on using humor to break down barriers and address difficult topics around intimacy.
