In this 8-week class, students will explore the Cat's Cradle, a kinetic form that uses bold character monologues to catapult into scenes with a deliberate use of space and staging. The players will travel back and forth and up and down between scenes by utilizing assertive transformational edits, weaving characters and themes into a complex pattern of controlled chaos.

Matt is a comedian, performer, and improv instructor. He began his comedy career in 2009 and has since studied at Upright Citizens Brigade (NYC), Magnet Theater (NYC), and The Second City (Chicago). In addition to teaching for the ArtsQuest Improv Comedy Program, he leads team building workshops for inquiring businesses and organizations. You can see Matt perform regularly at SteelStacks in various comedy shows, including "We're Good, You're Great!"

This show will contain adult language and/or situations. Seating will be assigned by ArtsQuest staff upon arrival into the showroom. Anyone coming in between the ages of 13 and 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No child 12 or under will be admitted. All performers and staff must adhere to our codes of conduct found here.
